A Commitment to Excellence

Howard’s goals include increasing its research expenditures and cost recovery; and raising the profiles of its principal investigators nationally. The Office of the Senior Vice President for Research and Compliance (OVPRC) aims to improve the symbiotic relationship between Howard University’s faculty, students, and research administration by restructuring and continuously assessing its service-oriented processes.

The OVPRC also seeks to develop resource-based strategies and compliant business models that set the stage for a transformational and sustainable course of research expansion and cost management. Both are essential for capacity growth and increasing Howard’s rankings as a top-tier research institution.
